TECO Servo Drive Alarm Codes

TECO servo drive alarm codes provide critical information indicating faults or abnormal conditions encountered during drive operation. Below are some common TECO servo drive alarm codes and their corresponding fault causes:

1. AL-00: No alarm. Indicates the servo drive has not detected any faults or abnormalities at present.

2. AL-01: Low power supply voltage. This typically means the input voltage to the servo drive is below the minimum required for normal operation.

3. AL-02: Overvoltage on power bus or brake circuit/detection circuit fault. This may result from excessively high external power supply voltage (typically exceeding 410V) or internal drive malfunctions in the brake circuit or detection circuit.

4. AL-03: Motor overload or severe overheating. This usually occurs due to excessive motor load or prolonged operation causing overheating or overload conditions.

5. AL-04: Drive overcurrent, power transistor abnormality. This may indicate failure due to internal power transistor damage or excessive current draw.

6. AL-05: Encoder ABZ signal abnormality. This typically signifies abnormal output from the encoder's ABZ signal, potentially caused by encoder damage or poor connection.

7. AL-06: Encoder UVW signal abnormality. Similar to AL-05, this indicates abnormal output from the encoder's UVB phase signal.

8. AL-10: Motor overcurrent. This is typically caused by an internal motor short circuit or excessive output current from the driver.

9. AL-11: Excessive position error. This may result from a faulty position feedback sensor, damaged cable, or poor connection between the driver and motor.

10. AL-12: Motor overspeed. This usually occurs when the motor exceeds its set maximum speed limit.

11. AL-13: CPU abnormality. This may result from a malfunctioning internal CPU or program error within the drive.

12. AL-15: Drive overheating. This typically stems from inadequate internal heat dissipation or excessive ambient temperature.

When a servo drive triggers an alarm, first check the alarm code displayed on the drive. Refer to the user manual or the manufacturer's technical support documentation to identify the root cause. Depending on the specific fault reason, take appropriate corrective actions such as checking power supply voltage, adjusting the load, or replacing damaged components. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer's technical support team for a detailed resolution.
