What are the characteristics of capacitive touch screen?

1. Capacitive touch screens only need touch, not pressure to generate signals.

2. Capacitive touch screens only need to be calibrated once or not at all after production, while resistance technology requires conventional calibration.

3. Capacitive screens can be used for a long time, because the components in capacitive touch screens do not need any movement; in resistive touch screens, the ITO film on the upper layer needs to be thin enough to be elastic, so that it can bend down to contact the ITO film below.

4. Capacitive technology is superior to resistive technology in light loss and system power consumption.

5. The capacitive technology is wear-resistant and has a long service life, and the maintenance cost is low when the user uses it.

However, the capacitive screen also has certain shortcomings. When the ambient temperature and humidity change, and there is magnetic field interference in the environment, the capacitive screen will drift, resulting in ineffective touch. The resistive screen is better than the touch screen in terms of anti-interference performance, and the price cost is lower than that of the capacitive screen.

The choice of capacitive screen or resistive screen depends on how the screen is used and the environment. If it is used by finger touch, not in multiple magnetic field environments, capacitive touch screen is a better choice. If you need to use a brush, and the anti-interference requirements are high, it is better to use a resistive touch screen in this case.
